10 Things I Have Learned after Many Christmases

Blog 2012 002 1. Jesus doesn’t really care if you have turkey or pizza for Christmas dinner.

2. Expect some crazy and even disappointing moments during your celebration.

3. SLOW down as much as you can, this won’t come ‘round for another year.

4. Enjoyment trumps perfection any day.

5. It’s fun to have something to look forward to on Dec 26.

6. Allow everyone three strikes but don’t count.

7. If possible, open gifts one at a time round the room.

8. A Christmas nap is a wonderful tradition.

9. Finding 20 minutes for a personal “Silent Night” of reflection by candle or tree light will be worth it.

10. Writing a few notes to yourself to remember for next year’s celebration is a good idea.

Yes, that is me and Santa circa 1953!
